Support » Theme: Vega » Changing standard featured images?

  • Hello,

I would like to change the featured images in my search results to some of my own. I know how to set the featured images for blogposts as shown here: http://www.passiefkozijn.nl/nieuws/ .
The thing is, when I use the search function on my site, and there is a page in the results, the default featured images are showing: http://www.passiefkozijn.nl/?s=passiefhuis&submit= . I would like to change this to become a random one from a few of my own selected images. How would I go about doing this?

    Thanks in advance.

Try uploading many different Header Images and then randomize.

Doing this would also change the header images. I would only like to change the images in the search results. I found the option to add a featured image for pages. It’s on the righthand side while editing a page. It would still be very convenient if I could define a certain set of standard images so I don’t have to set a featured image for every page.

By default: if you do not assign a featured image – then the Header image will show up.

For the search results – if you’d like a separate set of images, this falls under Child Theme territory and you can modify the theme to create this functionality 🙂

    Best of luck!
