  • There used to be an option change the maximum width of video (for example, youtube) embeds under Settings > Media, but it seems to have vanished.

Where did it go? And why? I’ve been messing around with a new theme of my own design, and youtube embeds don’t stretch to fill the width of my page now.

  • Can anyone help with this? I don’t really understand why youtube embeds work fine in my current theme, but not in my new theme. In my current theme on my website, I have a page width of 570px for an article.

If I embed a youtube video into the page with just the URL, it stretches automatically to fit it.

My new theme also has an page width of 570px, but when I embed a youtube video in the same way as above, the video’s width defaults to 500px, falling short.

Any ideas why this might happen?
