Support » Themes and Templates » Changing Sidebar Widget Background Colour in TwentyThirteen

  • Hi there,

I’m very new to WordPress. Currently trying to build a new site for my blog, but I’m having trouble with the sidebar widgets. When I add one, they have a block of grey colour around them and I can’t seem to get rid of it. I’d like it to either be white, or transparent.

I’m using Twenty Thirteen (child theme).

Here’s a screen cap: http://i200.photobucket.com/albums/aa110/larabob/screenc.png. It’s the box of grey around the icons / twitter widget that I’d like to get rid of.

    Thanks for any help.

Try using Firefox with the Firebug add-on for this kind of CSS troubleshooting. Or use whatever developer tool is available in your web browser.

Okay, I’ve had a look and I can change it using that. But when I go to edit my theme, it doesn’t work. Ugh.
