    I am using Subscribe2 Version 8.7.
    While sending my daily blog post digest, Subscribe2 uses sender email as my admin email.
    I do not want to display this admin email to my readers.
    That is why, I created another user which I called “Blog Digest”, gave it the admin user role, also created a new email just for digest purposes.
    However, no matter what I tried, the system still sends my digests from my admin email.
    Can you help me with this issue?

  • @postmanager,

    So, you’ve created a new email address and then a new WordPress user account that uses that email address. Have you also assigned that user account as the sender in the Subscribe2 Setting? Are you running your site with other plugins that affect the WordPress mail functions, things like SMTP Plugins?

    Yes. I assigned the new user account with new email as the sender in the Subscribe2 Settings.

    I am not using any other SMTP Plugins

    @postmanager,

    After changing the sender details did you click submit?
    Could you be running another plugin that alters the wp_mail function?
    Try deactivating all other plugins and try again. (Bear in mind that Preview emails are sent from and to the currently logged in user so these are not a good check of sender)

    Hmmm. I guess preview emails made me believe that regular digest emails will be sent from same admin address too.
    Now, all my digest emails are being sent through the correct address.
    Thank you for the explanation.

    @postmanager,

    Great, I’m glad your site is working as expected.

    Love the Plugin.
    Just started using and all is well except I noticed that the emails being sent don’t show the “From:” email specified in the settings. It’s just blank. Looks kind of weird and might make my subscribers think it’s spam or similar. Any ideas what I might have done wrong?

    @karlruegg,

    Sometimes the sender details get re-written on the server. You could try using a plugin like “Configure SMTP” to see if this makes the sender details stick a little better.
