The redirect setting field that I added in v1.2 does exactly that – it adds the new tag and redirects your feed (as per iTunes’ specifications). Feedburner isn’t a redirect as such – it’s more just a way to syndicate the same feed through a different service, so that new feed URL tag doesn’t really apply here. If you want to use Feedburner the best way is to use the feature added in v1.3 and resubmit your Feedburner URL to iTunes.

Please help me understand the Redirect feature. I don’t understand the “New podcast URL” field.

In my case the new podcast URL is the same as the “Complete feed” under the “Share” section. If I enter the complete feed URL in the new podcast URL field, won’t it cause a redirect loop?

I can tell the plugin where to redirect to, but how does it know where to redirect from? There is no place to enter the old podcast URL.

Could I just check “Redirect podcast feed to new URL” to add the <itunes:new-feed-url> tag, not enter anything in the “New podcast URL” field, then create a 301 redirect in my .htaccess file from the old feed URL to the new?

    Thanks for a great plugin!
