OK, everyone, I DID try to do a search on “changing permissions files” but everything just dropped out of http://www.wordpress.org and I got a “done” on the bottom indicating the page was done loading, although all there was, was a gray page.
Anyway, I have just started our Word Press again, after being hacked, and I wanted to see if there were any files which needed their permissions changed to 750 or 640? I checked the documentation but didn’t see anything on this. There was tons of this on our PHP bulletin board (which was what exactly got hacked).
They were able to get into our administrative accounts on our hosting site – ACK! Tons of work and I now want to make sure we’re safe this time. We did get a SSL certificate BUT when I put in our address – https://www.reaching-out.info/Blog, I get a message about a “bad certificate”. Does anybody know what I need to get our visitors rolling into our blog without this issue popping up?
Of course, ANY help on these issues would be “mucho gracias” from the 120+ members of Reaching Out who are suffering from fibromyalgia and/or chronic fatigue syndrome (CFIDS)/ME. Can you believe these hackers hacked a site trying to help people disabled by illnesses???? (sigh)
