Changing 'Permalink' and slug URL in post editor

Howdy,

I’d like to add a function to a plugin to change the ‘Permalink’ word in the post editing screen for my custom post type and I’d also like to remove the URL but keep the ability there to edit the slug. Any ideas on how this could be done?
