Changing permalink

    Help. Because I changed a page name, WP changed the link from /313 to /313-1 It is essential that this page be restored to it’s original /313 link.

    Can anyone help me? thank you.

    Remove 313 from the trash and then rename the permalink back to 313. When a page is the trash and you use the same slug, it will append the slug with -#.

    Hi and thank you.

    I tried this, if I understand you correctly. As in I trashed and permanently deleted the page. Created a new one and named it 313 but it defaulted to 313-2 again.

    But I have just found a plugin (Permalink Finder) that finds any number related I guess. If i type in “http://site.com/313” it will redirect to the new page “http://site.com/313-2”. Which is fine because the most important thing is for users to be able to see the content on that page!
