Changing part of the theme? (3 posts)

    I'm currently using the cooperation theme for my website, but I can't seem to change the lower-case letters on the Home page to upper-case, although that's what I typed up on the editing post. So on the website homepage, khtechsemi.com has "welcome to kh technology, llc" all in lower-case letters but I'd like it to be "Welcome to KH Technology, LLC" just like it's typed in the editing dashboard. How do I go about doing this? Thanks!

    Hi mviolino,

    To make these kind of changes to your site requires you to make changes to your CSS and / or html and php.
    Before you do anything else...

    Make a backup of your site!!

    1. Use FTP to backup the files.
    2. Make sure to also backup your database.
    3. http://codex.wordpress.org/Backing_Up_Your_Database

      Next: If you don't have one yet: Create a childtheme

    4. Don't make any changes to a theme itself. Instead make the changes to a childtheme. Should the author of your original theme update the theme, your changes will not be overwritten. Your site with your adaptations will remain intact.
      (see: http://codex.wordpress.org/Child_Themes )
    5. Suggestion: use the 'one click childtheme plugin'.

      Now the -one off- 'dirty work' has been done:

      Add to the style.cssof your childtheme the following code:

      h2.feat-heading, #pagetop h1 {
          font-size: 60px;
          color: rgb(255, 255, 255);
          text-shadow: 1px 2px 2px rgb(21, 88, 138);
          padding-bottom: 18px;
          text-transform: none !important;

      This changes the transformation from 'lowercase' to 'none'
