# Changing my WP installation path

 * Hey y’all,
    I’ve installed WP and had it running for a while, but I’ve decided
   I want to change the URL (well, the path) where my blog is. eg. I want to change
   it from [http://www.mydomain.com/blog](http://www.mydomain.com/blog) to [http://www.mydomain.com/news](http://www.mydomain.com/news)…
   Is this possible? And does anyone know how I’d go about doing this? Any help 
   at all would be very much appreciated! Thanks in advance 🙂

 * if all of your wp files are in that one folder (formerly blog, now news) then
   i think its just a matter of changing “WordPress address” in your options page.

 * dss: couldn’t you have moved everything back to where it was, renamed the folder,
   and started over?
