[Resolved] Changing Menu/Nav Color

  • Very strange! It’s coming from line 41 of the actual output page rather than your style.css:

    a, a:visited, #footer a:hover, .entry-title a:hover {
        color: #64A2D8;
    }

    Since your stylesheets will load before that, I recommend figuring out where that code is output (maybe /wp-content/themes/hatch/header.php?), remove it from there, and move it to your style.css and then change it to your desired color. It’s possible the theme has a configuration option for the link color, and is outputting that style declaration with PHP or javascript, too. Someone familiar with the theme may be able to tell you.

    Before doing that, you should create a child theme, so you changes won’t be overwritten if the theme is upgraded.

    By the way, if you do move it to your stylesheet and only want to change the color of your menus, not the entry titles, you’ll want to separate out the entry-title class from the hyperlinks.

    Adding that to the Custom CSS block worked – thanks!

    I also have no idea why it would be pulling that from somewhere else – and roger that on the Child theme.
