Support » Fixing WordPress » Changing Manage Posts to show only posts by user logged in

  • Hi,

I have a blog that will allow users to register and post their own articles.

The only issue I’m having is when a user is logged in and clicks on manage > posts, they see everyones posts rather than just their own.

I realise they don’t have the authority to edit or delete other users posts, but it may cause confusion and I’d like them to be able to just see their posts.

Is there a way around this?

I downloaded the adminize plugin and it is great, but unfortunately I don’t see an option in that to do this.

    Thanks in advance.

Not currently possible unless you can find a plugin that does it. I have an open bug for it on the tracker with a partial patch attached to it, but it needs a new or highly edited core proc to work properly, and deal with searching.

This has probably been resolved by now, but I believe that you can achieve what you are looking to do by using the role scoper plugin, and setting permissions so that users can only edit their own posts, my current project only displays the posts by the logged in user in the back end.

I actually found this post because I’m looking to transport this functionality to the front end, or into a Buddypress installation.
