You might also want to check with your hosting company – as many have changed login security due to recent massive attacks on WP servers – see:

I can access the site, I just would like to reset my password…I’m using my wordpress login to be sent an email to change my password…when I put in my username to receive the email it gives me an error message that says my email is not a registered user…would you still suggest the same options?
Yes, I don’t think there is anything else we can suggest – you can look in the linked article and see how to look in the database for your username and email – and see if it’s what you think it is.
Or check with your host first.
It’s always a good idea to make sure you backup everything before you start mucking around with things like this :).
