Changing layout shopping cart

    I’m nearly there and hope i can pick your brains once more …

    Below is the layout of my shopping cart, produced by the shortcode [woocommerce_cart]. I have two questions:

    1. The blue circle on the left marks some very small x’s that can be used to remove a product from the cart. Is there any way to change these x’s? Preferably into a bin icon or otherwise something bigger?
    2. The red circle marks the fields with the quantity. The quantity is not clearly shown. Is there any way to make the field larger so that someone can see/change the number of items?

    Thanks for reaching out!

    I understand that you would like to change the “Remove item from cart” icon, as well as expand the width of the quantity selector field on the cart page, is this correct?

    Changing the “Remove item from cart (x)” icon:

    This would require custom code, which is outside our scope of support however I have found this article which guides you on how this can be achieved.

    Expanding the width of the quantity selector field:

    After checking your site, I am unable to check this on my end, as it is limiting me to only adding 1 of each item to the cart, which results in the quantity selector not being displayed on the cart page:

    Further checking, I can see that you are using the Twenty Twenty-Three theme. I have activated this theme on my test site and my quantity fields are displaying without any issue:

    It’s possible that there may be a plugin on your site causing this issue and I’d suggest performing a conflict test to rule this out however, before doing this can you please share a copy of your sites System Status report so that we can see if anything stands out that may be causing this issue.

    You can find this via WooCommerce → Status. Select Get system report and then Copy for support.

    Once you have this, please share the results in your response here so that we can take a closer look.

    Thank you so much for reaching out so fast!

    As most people only buy one, I have temporarily limited the number of products to be bought to one. This is only a work around as this is not the way I like it.

    Hi @saskiaherm ,

    Thanks for clarifying!

    After checking, nothing seems to stand out in your System status report that appears out of the ordinary.

    That being said, I’d suggest going ahead with performing the full conflict test, to rule out any theme/plugin conflicts.

    To test, you’ll first want to change the theme on your site to Storefront, then check to see if the issue is still present.

    If changing the theme doesn’t help, you’ll want to deactivate all plugins except for WooCommerce and take a look. If that fixes the problem, re-enable the other plugins one by one (gradually), checking after each, to see where the issue is coming from.

    If you don’t want to test on your live site, then create a staging site using a plugin called WP Staging.

    Advanced Portfolio Grid was the culprit. They fixed it already :-).
