Changing how posts appear on the homepage

I need help changing the look of the posts displayed on my website which runs WordPress: booksforschool.com. Here is what I want each post to look like: http://i.imgur.com/ul1iF.jpg.

Basiclly to each post ad a subtitle (Which would be the author’s name), a small description, and a link to a place to buy the book on Amazon (which I guess would be inside the description)

How do I make this happen? This is my first WordPress site so I’ve just gotten ahold of the basics, so far. Thanks for your help!

What theme are you using? Do you know any HTML and CSS? If not, the changes you want may be a challenge to do yourself. Sounds like you might want to add custom fields: http://codex.wordpress.org/Custom_Fields

You might look for a theme and/or plug in that has a close approximation of what you want as that would make changes easier.

I’m using Pinblue, and I don’t know any HTML or CSS. I suppose i’ll have to bite the bullet and learn.

Thank you for your advice, I’m looking into some plugins that I think do what I want.
