 * Hello All.
 * Here is my situation, I am not a coding expert whatsoever, but am pretty good
   at SEO and internet as a whole.
 * I am trying to help a friend who is a Realtor get out of this mess with her website.
   She paid a third party to build and host this site for her not knowing any better,
   she has never had access to her host login info and can not seem to get it now
   either.
 * Now I am in the picture because this lady has delivered none of what she promised
   and I am trying to get this site over to Hostgator so the Realty Company and
   Laurie herself finally gain some control back from a vindictive person. I am
   unsure of the best way to go about doing this.
 * [http://pinetoparizonarealestate.com/](http://pinetoparizonarealestate.com/)
   is the site, and it does belong to Laurie McCain…she paid for it ten times over,
   but other than copy and paste I have no file access to this content and template.
 * I am more than willing to copy and paste, I guess I am just unsure of how that
   would work with the theme. Should I just find one with the same files and copy
   and paste the coding to come up with the template?
 * We are trying to do this in a manner so that she can fire this person but have
   her butt covered as they will most likely stop the hosting before giving us an
   opportunity to transfer properly.
 * Thanks in advance!

 * A WHOIS lookup shows that Laurie is the registered owner of the domain, which
   is good, and it is registered through GoDaddy. So to make life easier, I would
   recommend hosting there as well instead of HostGator. As she is the registered
   owner, she should be able to get the GD account log in details from them.
 * [http://www.whoishostingthis.com/pinetoparizonarealestate.com](http://www.whoishostingthis.com/pinetoparizonarealestate.com)
   shows that it is now hosted at CyrusOne.
 * [http://sitecheck2.sucuri.net/results/pinetoparizonarealestate.com/](http://sitecheck2.sucuri.net/results/pinetoparizonarealestate.com/),
   Website Details tab shows the list of plugins as does [http://whatwpthemeisthat.com/](http://whatwpthemeisthat.com/).
 * As far as the theme goes, it’s custom so you’ll have to find/build one to match
   or similar.
 * However, as you/she does not have access to the current hosting account, you
   will be unable to download the site files as well as do an export of the database,
   which is essential. Looks as though copy and paste into a temp site (or even
   just Notepad) for the text and save imageas out is the way to go unless reconciliation
   is possible 🙂

 * Thanks 2niner.
 * I did see the whoishostingthis site information and seen that it is (as you mentioned)
   Cyrus One.
 * I was afraid this theme would be an issue as it is custom made. I attempted to
   get new URL (LaurieMcCainRealtyllc.com), hosted that and copied over every appearance
   file. Didn’t think it would be that easy, but was hopeful! Lol
 * I can copy the content for her and just make a new site as you mentioned, she
   just was just hoping to keep this exact template….and unless this lady plays
   well and gives up the Cpanel information, I just don’t see it happening myself.
 * The most important thing (as I told her) is that she have control of her site
   and files at all times. I feel bad that people sometimes have to learn the hard
   way, but never ever should someone handle your online business without even providing
   you (the owner) access to the login information.
 * Thanks for your help!

 * You could probably use a backup plugin to back everything up without access to
   the server. Which should allow you to grab the files and the database. 🙂
 * Edit: Assuming you have access to the WordPress admin panel.
