# Changing Hosts

 * Hi, I have a little bit of a delima. I had a site built but a woman who hosted
   the site on her own host. Now she is out of the blogging world and hard to get
   in touch with. I want to take over the hosting controls. Is there a way I could
   do that without her involvement. I have no idea who the host is or anything.

 * Do you have access to the site dashboard? If so you can export the data from 
   there. However controlling the domain name, and anything that has been uploaded
   to the server would realistically require the owner’s cooperation.

 * Easiest way is ask her about hosting information because if you want to change
   hosting, you must have password to access database and files.
