changing header background

  • I am using the Blue Clean theme. It says I can change the header image by changing “header.jpg” with an image of my choice 896px by 140px. I just discovered that my photo is 2560 × 1920. If I crop it will I be able to use it?

    Meanwhile I tried to make the change so the code now says this. I don’t know if I did it right because I am still learning HTML. Does the change look right?

    #header{ position:relative; height:140px; width:896px; background:url(content_img/http://www.college-transition.com/wp-admin/media.php?action=edit&attachment_id=133 top center no-repeat; margin:0px 0px 2px 0px; overflow:hidden;}
    #header h1{ position:relative; float:left; margin:30px 0px 0px 22px; padding:0px; font-family:monotype corsiva; font-weight:normal; color:#003399; font-size:48px; }
    #header h1 a{color:#003399; text-decoration:none;}
    #header h1 a:hover{color:#000000; text-decoration:none;}
    #header h2{ position:relative; float:left; margin:85px 22px 0px 0px; padding:0px; font-family:monotype corsiva; font-weight:normal; color:#003399; font-size:24px; }
