• I’m a noob with some HTML experience, but new to CSS.
Just installed Orbit theme at http://www.bikesurplus.com
Question: Theme comes with three standard color choices for the footer: orange, green, or blue. I have green selected, but the green is off from the green I really need to match my logo. Color I need is #006600. I went into the stylesheet.css and found the footer-main and changed the color to #006600 there, but it resulted in no change. I emptied my cache and refreshed. Still now change. I don’t believe the backgound is an image because there was another HEX code there…I replace #1d6497 with #006600. Any help would be greatly appreciated. If I can’t find a way to change the color out, I might have to dump this theme.

  • Orbit is an excellent theme. You might find that if you navigate to Dashboard > Appearance > Orbit Options > CSS user, and then enter your style modifications in the CSS field and save the changes, that might do the trick.

Example: Enter #main-footer { background-color: #000000;} and save the changes, and it should probably turn the footer background colour from green to black. Substituting your colour of preference for #000000, should do the trick.
