• Hello, I’m in the process of editing this great theme to fit my wishes and I was wondering if it’s possible to change fonts and element colours? I know this theme gives a number of preset colours to choose from which is great, but these colours don’t quite match the ones I want to use.
I’m new at css, but I’m starting to get the hang of it. I’m just not sure which lines to edit when I want to use different fonts or colours. Can anyone help?
At the moment I’m developing my blog locally, so I can’t link you to it just yet.

  • Do not edit the theme itself. First create a child theme for your changes. Or install a custom CSS plugin.

Hi, I want to know the same thing as the original poster. Esmi, I read your response, but how do you change the font and ribbon colors on Sugar and Spice? The preset choices are limited. Where do you go in the CSS to change it? Thank you. Emily

    Hello!

You won’t be able to override color CSS from child theme, you’re gonna need Custom CSS plugin like CSS Manager.
To find the correct CSS rule, you’re gonna need a developer tool (Chrome and FireFox have this built in). To learn how to use those with WordPress theme, I recommend this video tutorial.
You won’t be able to change ribbon color though, since it’s an image.
