Changing folders after content added

  • I looked through the forums but didn’t see this exact situation presented clearly and I now have several hundred articles in the database which I wouldn’t want to mess with.
I have a blog setup in the default location, but before I launch it there, I would like to have the site in my main directory instead.
I did notice the post in the installations forum under ‘different’ I think, but it wasn’t clear whether that was only for a new blank setup or also one with content.
It also wasn’t clear there whether the caveat applied only to editing or to other functionality of the program also being limited.
    Thanks.

  • This is easy. Just add index.php to the root, adjust it per the instructs for calling the program from the root and it’s done. The ‘edit’ limitation is only for the shortcut link next to the articles disappearing with this modification.
