Changing domain issue

What is the suggested process for changing the domain on a wordpress site?

For example my issue is with simply changing from a dev.mydomain,com to clientsdomain.com now that I am finished with the site.

Do I really have to go as far as changing the guid for the attachments? I figure it would have been as easy as changing it in the config file but no so..

All suggestions are most appreciated.
