 * I trying to (without success) in changing the colour bands (top & bottom) on 
   the website home page to solid Yellow #FFFFOO. Nothing seems to work.
 * Could some one give me the code and the location where is should be inserted.

   Appearance >> Customize >> Additioanal CSS >> Paste below CSS >> Publish it.
