Changing code on static pages.

  • I’m new to WordPress, but have managed my own web site on Dreamweaver for years so I understand some code issues. I want to remove the “Comments” ability on my static pages. There is no “disable comments” option on my theme apparently, and I don’t know how to ACCESS the code people are referring to. What program would I use to OPEN this code and edit it, and how do I put it back into the file?

    Thank you!

  • in admin panel click on edit on the page you do not want comments and you see discussion if you do not see it click on screen options and tick discussion and untick allow comments.

Thanks. I found it by clicking “quick edit”, then an option comes up to “disable comments”.
