    Even though it says that the re-ordering of a category was successful, it jumps back to the old place and doesn’t update, neither on front nor backend. Any idea what I might be doing wrong?

    Sorting the articles works, but not the categories.

  • Update: After adding a new article to an unused category, it suddenly appears correctly sorted. But again, after that it seems locked again and nothing is being saved

    That’s odd, I’ve not seen that issue before. I wonder if something else running on your site is conflicting with the reorder functionality? Could you please try deactivating all other plugins and switch to the default theme for testing? Does it still happen?

    Oh my, this is embarrassing, of course the culprit was “Redis Object Cache”, after disabling the redis cache, it worked fine! Sorry for that and thanks for the hint

    haha! No worries at all, happens all the time. Glad it is resolved now.
