# Changing account email

 * When I go to change the email address of my WordPress.org account it says that
   a confirmation email is sent to my email. But I never receive it. I have tried
   a few times and checked my spam. Any suggestions as to why I am not getting the
   email? The email address is correct.

 * The email for the account for the forums (your wordpress.org account) or the 
   email for your account on your own website?

 * Using PHPMYADMIN, change your email rather than the password.

 * Hello, thanks for the reply and sorry for my late one.
 * It’s for my own WordPress website. I managed to change my user profile email 
   address but I want to change the admin email address. I know where to go to do
   so but I never receive a confirmation email. I have checked my spam as well. 
   Any ideas??

 * Click “cancel” if that’s still available in the dashboard, then just change the
   email via phpmyadmin.

 * Thanks Steve. But how do I get to phpmyadmin. Is that within WordPress somehere
   else?
