Changing absolute links to relative links
-
This is my first time creating my own word press theme, and I’m a bit new to code. I’m almost done with my site and I want to change the links from Absolute to Relative. I understand the general concept but the application is confusing me. A few examples I’m working with:
“http://localhost:8888/dgp.com/dgp-site/” (this is the link for the home page)
“http://localhost:8888/dgp.com/dgp-site/language-matters/”Would I just start with everything after the “/dgp-site/ ?
The folder chain for the site is: Local host/ htdcocs/dgp.com/dgp-site/wp-content/themes/dgptheme And this is where all my main files and page templates live.
So I was confused exactly which folders to include in my relative links, and wanted to get it right before I went through all the pages. Any help to this newbie is much appreciated 🙂
thanks!
