# Changing a plugin´s author

 * Hi folks,
 * I´ve found a new leader for the plugin “I am reading” who will develop it in 
   the future and I´d really like to change the plugin´s author to the new one so
   that I am not the one listet on wordpress.org/extend/ anymore.
 * The new leader´s username is ‘mifupa’ who is added as a committer now.
 * Is there a chance of getting this done ?

 * I’m guessing, but isn’t that the **Author:** line at the top of your plugin’s
   php file?

 * May be it´s just that easy.
 * I think it is the line “Contributors” in the readme.txt ´cause there´s the username
   which is shown as the plugin´s author. Don´t know why I didn´t think of this 
   ^^

 * It was really just that easy. We had to change the readme file. 🙂
