Will this plugin change the title and alt text for existing images or just images added after the plugin changes? Since I already had many images on my site I was hoping to apply the changes to everything in the media library. My older images don’t show the title or alt text although I have entered those in the plugin settings, also I just updated the settings to add custom text to the end of the alt text and that doesn’t show on any images. Is there a way to apply this to all existing images? I’m not using any page builders on the site, just Astra with Gutenberg and WooCommerce. Thanks.

    Hi

    Thank you for the feedback!

If the plugin is enabled, all existing and future images will get handled.
Note that there are two checkboxes that control the plugin’s behavior.
    https://prnt.sc/ynfkjw
    1. Automatic attributes – enables the plugin’s functionality
    2. Force attributes – overwrites the existing image attributes

You can try using the Force attributes option to see if that helps in your case.
Note that by clicking on the question marks you can see more information on each option.

If you are using a caching solution for your website’s HTML output, I recommend clearing it after making changes in the plugin’s settings page.
Example: The Autoptimize plugin caches HTML and you might be seeing an old version of the image attributes.

If you continue having issues, it might be due to the way your theme displays images.
This plugin is somewhat dependant on the Theme you are using.
It should work with most WordPress themes, but I cannot guarantee that for all of them.

The plugin doesn’t edit your website’s database.
In other words, the images you see in the media library would remain the same.
All attributes added by the plugin are dynamically created and displayed on the front-end of the website.
The idea behind this is that if you wish, you can disable the plugin and continue using your default media library image attributes.

    I hope this helps.

    Regards,
    Danail
