I am looking to only create an audit trail for logged in users when they change the date on a few custom fields in a CPT.

I just need the Username and the new date entered in the Custom field recorded.

Will your plugin be able to be configured to do just that. It seems so but could you confirm.

I think I’d purchase the External Database and Reports addons too.

    Many thanks.

    Hello Lindsay,

Thank you for using our plugin.

Yes it is possible to configure the plugin in such a way. Custom fields changes in custom post types are reported in the audit log by these alerts:

2056: User created a custom field in a post with a custom post type
2057: User modified the value of a custom field in a post with a custom post type
2058: User deleted a custom field from a post with a custom post type
2064: User renamed a custom field in a post with a custom post type

Therefore in your case, if you are looking to just have changes in custom fields reported simply disable ALL the alerts in the plugin and just enabled Alert 2057.

While I trust the above answers your question, do not hesitate to get in touch in case of any further questions.
