 * Anytime there is an update, the changes I have made to the coloring on the theme
is reset to the original coloring.

 * How were you changing the theme’s colors, and what theme are you using? If you
were editing the theme’s stylesheet directly, you’ll lose those changes whenever
the theme is updated. Instead, you should either use a custom CSS plugin or your
   theme’s built-in option, if one exists. If you’re using WordPress 4.7, there’s
a built-in custom CSS option at Dashboard > Appearance > Customize > Additional
   CSS.
