Changes Not Saving

I have gone through multiple installs of WordPress and have used MySQL DB Versions 4.0 and 5.0, and used both IE and Firefox explorers. After I get everything uploaded, without fail I am unable to save any changes to my settings under the Design tab. I can turn on widgets successfully, but that is it – I can not make any changes to my Themes (style.css… regardless of my theme) that save, and any change I make under K2 Options disappear after I press the Save Settings button.

Please help, I have reached the end of my rope!
