Changes in Featured Posts or add Slider with posts

    Hi,
    I use grid layout (every single post is featured, so main page is a grid from top to bottom). Now I try to something new. I want to featured “featured posts” in specific categories. I want to display for example 3 posts above my grid feed. It is possible?
    Or maybe it would be simplier to add some slider above grid or above header and stick 3 posts?
    Please help.
