Support » Fixing WordPress » changes in child theme

  • hello, i think I successfully created a child theme, it seems working. I created only simple style.css file with importing style from my parents theme.
Now I’d need to make some changes, but they are other css files placed in my parent theme in its sub-folders (skins/light_fabric.css). I simply copied the same directory into my child theme and made changes in that css file, but it seems that my children theme doesn’t see that and keeps using original files from parent theme (these changes work when i make them in parent theme].
Is there anything else i need to do to make my theme to use his included files?
I’d be grateful for any advices.

Where did you download this theme from?

well, i asked the same question to my theme support, but just assumed there is something in general what’s needed to do when making different changes than in general style.css file.
If not, then sorry for my ignorance…

It varies according to the theme. Sounds like your chosen theme isn’t very child-friendly.

    yep, that’s right. Thank you!
