Do you have any caching plugins enabled? If so, it might be a good idea if each of you cleared the cache after making changes to the site.
No, we don’t. Sorry, I should have included that in the original post.
What sort of changes are you talking about?
First, he installed the plugin “WooCommerce TM Extra Product Options”
He made updates to products but only he could see them on the back end as well as live. His manager could not see the updates. They let me know and we all tested together. I could not see his and I made some changes that he could not see.
I asked the plugin developer for help. He could not duplicate this issue. I tested here in the US with my hosting provider and we could not duplicate the issue.
Now, I have made a child theme and he, the developer who is working on the products, cannot see that I’ve done this. He sent me a screenshot and only sees the parent theme as active. The child theme is not even created as far as he can see.
I am asking his manager to see if he can see the child theme. I have not heard back from him. I think that will pinpoint whether it is that person’s computer or the country where we are having an issue. Both are in India.
There may be some caching along the way. Are you using a CDN in any way? Are the other folks logging out and then back in?
I will make sure they are logging out each time.
I did a quick search and Inmotion hosting (my provider resells their hosting to me) does use CDN. Maybe I need to call them. But I’ve asked him for help and he seems to know much more than the support people I tend to get when I call.
Ask how one purges the CDN cache.
Hosting (inmotion) says they do not use CDN.
Apparently, we are working on two different servers. Ugh. I think this explains the child theme but not the other issue of the plugin.
my hosting provider has it figured out. Thanks for your help!
