Changed WP Login and still getting alerts – Why?

    Hi, i Changed my WP-Login URL – so the /admin URL is no longer available – and still getting daily WordFence alerts “Someone has logged out from the password recovery…with username test…” – every time from different countries.
    So my question: how is that possible? There is no way to reach wp-login.php because i changed the login URL to a different address!?
    Or is that just a cheap trick to get more customers for the pro version ;-)?

    Can I ask how you changed the wp-login URL -did you use a plugin and if so which one. I am having the same problem, they attack wp-login all the time, every day. I am using the free version also. Thanks.

    I think it has nothing to do with that plugin – because the WordFence notifications came long time before i used the plugin Rename wp-login.php as well!

    Okay. What I did was to block user name test. You can do this in Options.
    Just add in the words: admin, test, human, etc. Someone tried that with my site
    and I blocked it. Just add in the names that the hackers try to use and save at the bottom.
    Thanks for the tip – I have yet to try hiding the login but I am testing to see which ones are compatible with Wordfence.
