I, like many before me, thought I could change the url of the blog. I’m an idiot.

this blog is a work blog, http://www.lightintheboxblog.com, not started by me. I’m not sure who the original person was that started it, but they don’t work here anymore. All I was given was my own login information for admin.

This week I’ve been changing the theme and some content, and thought I could change the URL. Now, I’m locked out of the blog.

I’ve read loads of threads on this topic, and have read the page about Changing the URL. I have no idea what wp-config.php is, or where to find it, or if it’s on my computer. I can’t get into the site at all because of maintenance mode.

I changed the name to theboxblog.com, which apparently is already owned by someone, so when the maintenance mode page comes up, there is a link to the new name that links to another blog. Can anyone help?

How can I get that? My boss is the one who started the blog, and I don’t really want to go to him saying I screwed up if I can find a way to fix it myself…

Is there anyway to get that information while the blog is in maintenance mode? I’m a complete noob at this (which is why I made the mistake in the first place) so simple instructions would help!
