• Hi everyone,

I have a wordpress.org account (website http://www.twandh.co.uk) and have recently set up a wordpress.com account (website http://www.tunbridgewellsauctionhouse.com) to see if I like it better. With a further view to redirecting the twandh.co.uk account over at some point. I have accidentally put the tunbridgewellsauctionhouse.com url into the settings on wordpress.org and now cannot access my wordpress.org account.
I have tried for a few days now but do not seem to be getting anywhere, the e-mail addresses for both accounts seem to be in confusion as well abd the two sites are slightly amalgamated.
I’m not fussed at all about keeping the wordpress.com account as I found .org a lot more useful but I would really like to be able to log into the account as at some point I will be needing to redirect it to another .org account.
If anyone is able to help I will be most grateful, I have tried the ftp thing and filezilla but cannot seem to get anywhere. I think I might be missing files needed as I was not the one to originally set up the account.

    Many thanks

    twandh

  • The following article explains how to change your url using the wp-config.php file. You will need access to that file though ftp or using your web host file manager.

    Hi,

Thanks for the reply. I cannot get through ftp at all (won’t connect even after changing router and firewall settings etc). Is there any other options do you think as I have spent the last few days doing all that is suggested in replied to topics similar to my questions.?

Doesn’t your web host provide a way to access web files? They usually do.
