Changed Primary Domain – Blog messed up | WordPress.org

Long story short…

I added a new domain to my hosting account to use as the primary access route to my blog; since I changed this new domain to my primary one on my hosting cp my blog has lost all formatting and I am unable to login.

Both domains are with the same host as my WordPress database.

No doubt people have done this loads of times.

Any help would be appreciated.

download your database .sql file and find and replace all instances of your old domain, then upload the new .sql file.

Also, older versions, upraded versions and multi-site installs of WordPress put the url of the site in the config.php which needs to be changed if you changed domains. I’d start there if needed.
