• Hi all;

    I have changed the names of several pages and posts for SEO but forgot that I have 53 on-site links of which many are to the old page and post titles. Is there a way other than manually changing every link on every page??? I have combed every post and changed them manually and now ready to start on the page links. Also I changed certain links that were domain/menu/post to simply domain/post…will this aid in the SEO?

    Thanks,

    John

  • You can set up “301 moved permanently” redirects for those pages, either manually in your .htaccess file, using your hosting control panel if that’s a feature it offers, or using a redirection plug-in like this one, or another.

    Thanks Zoonie; I downloaded a plugin that goes through my site and tells me every broken link so I can go and change the page title for SEO purposes; the redirects concern me because I want the spiders to crawl my site and see my keyword titles in the html instead of an old and new title name so keeping it clean and easy for the little critters to come back was my concern. The plugin was a real good one called broken link checker 1.2.5
