 * Well – color me uneducated; I thought I would improve my SEO and I started changing
   the permalinks on products on my website. I’m not really tech savy – just read
   articles. UNFORTUNATELY, they didn’t say it would break the links. Is there a
   way for me to search in wordpress and identify all the changed permalinks so
   I can put them back and unbreak my site? I appreciate anyone’s help with this….
   I’m ready to toss in the towel.

 * Hi [@bn4ysales](https://wordpress.org/support/users/bn4ysales/),
 * Thanks for contacting us. There are a few steps you can take to identify and
   fix the changed permalinks in WordPress. Here’s what you can do:
    1. Revert permalink structure: If you remember the previous permalink structure,
       you can try reverting it back to its original state. To do this, go to your “
       Settings” -> “Permalinks,” and select the previous permalink structure option.
       Save the changes, and it should restore the old permalinks.
    2. Use a broken link checker plugin: There are several WordPress plugins available
       that can help identify broken links on your site. One such plugin is “[Broken Link Checker.](https://prnt.sc/J5venieE5SjG)”
       Here’s how you can use it:
    3. - Go to Plugins > Add New.” Search for “Broken Link Checker” in the search
          bar. <span style=”background-color: initial; font-size: inherit;”>You can
          find the plugin settings in Link Checker. </span>The plugin will scan your
          website for broken links, including the changed permalinks. It will display
          a list of broken links, and you can edit them to fix the permalinks accordingly.
    4. Note: Running a broken link checker plugin can be resource-intensive and might
       slow down your site temporarily. Please deactivate the plugin after you’ve fixed
       the broken permalinks.
    5. Use a database search and replace tool: If you’re comfortable working with your
       WordPress site’s database, you can use a search and replace tool to find and
       replace the changed permalinks directly in the database. One popular plugin
       for this purpose is “Better Search Replace.” Here’s how you can use it:
    6. - Install and activate the “Better Search Replace” plugin. Go to “Tools” ->“
          Better Search Replace” [screenshot](https://prnt.sc/yhGlQdM9ay0Y). In the“
          Search for” field, enter the changed part of the permalink you want to revert.
          In the “Replace with” field, enter the original part of the permalink you
          want to restore. Select the database tables to search (typically, all tables
          starting with `wp_`). Deselect the “Run as dry run?” option to perform the
          actual search and replace. Click the “Run Search/Replace” button.
    7. The plugin will search for the changed permalinks in the selected database tables
       and replace them with the original permalinks.
 * Hope it will help.
 * Kind Regards
 * Arif

 * Hi [@bn4ysales](https://wordpress.org/support/users/bn4ysales/),
   Thanks for reaching
   out to us. Could you please describe the whole situation in a video? I think
   if you disable the SEO plugin then you will get the permalink of the products
   again. Hopefully, you understand.
 * Regards,
   Amir
