I changed my DNS Servers the other day, and now I cant get onto my Word Press site or Dashboard. I don’t know what I have done wrong, but I’m very concerned and need to get it back. Could you please help me?
The squeeze page that I changed the DNS servers is NorthTexasInvestmentDeals.com and the DNS that I changed it to is
NS1.ALWAYSDNSLLC.COM and
NS2.ALWAYSDNSLLC.COM
Then the WordPress Dashboard points to
NorthTexasInvestmentDeals.com/investordeals/
I know cant even logon to my dashboard / wp-admin
I think I’m explaining it correctly. Please help he as soon as you can –
I really need help!

I’ll try to explain it in a more simple way….
My DNS change was done correctly because it pointed to the server where http://NorthTexasInvestmentDeals.com is, and its now working. (You can see myself and my son there talking, — we are from New Zealand but living in North Texas 🙂
The problem is that http://NorthTexasInvestmentDeals.com/investordeals/ now wont work, since I changed the DNS server, and that URL is tied in with my WordPress dashboard.
So, when I used to make a change on the W/P dashboard, it would show up on http://NorthTexasInvestmentDeals.com/investordeals/
It has ranked very high on Google, and I want to retain it.

I’m not sure, to me NorthTexasInvestmentDeals.com doesn’t look like a WordPress site in the first place, so I don’t understand how it could have a WP dashboard?

http://www.whoishostingthis.com/northtexasinvestmentdeals.com shows that you did that right, but it doesn’t look like WP. Have you asked RackSpace, the host, about this?

Did you remember to copy the files over?

Thanks guys for trying to help me, I really appreciate it.
The “Word Press” site that I was using was http://NorthTexasInvestmentDeals.com/investordeals/
Note /investordeals/ after .com
I set this up years ago with someones help.
A question I have is how would I have got /investordeals/ after the .com? What is that normally called, when something is added after .com ?
I originally set it up with 1&1 and then had it pointing to HostGator.
When I set it up I wrote down this, but it wont work for me now that I’ve changed the DNS settings. http://wwww.NorthTexasInvestmentDeals.com.cpanel
Does that mean anything?
Ipstenu, I guess I didn’t copy the files over, — not even sure what you mean or where they are.
Sure hope I haven’t lost that site.

Yes, we know the URL 🙂 What we’re saying is that since you’re getting the error you’re getting on the new host that’s why I asked if you remembered to move the files over,

Go back to 1&1 – They SHOULD NOT have deleted your data if you just moved. Get a backup of ALL your files and your database. Then copy them to HG 🙂
