Changed Homepage Permalink – 404 Error | WordPress.org

After spending an age having to manually update the new WP 4.6 version, I decided to edit the homepage link from devilwearsprimarni.com/wordpress to devilwearsprimarni.com through the WP dashboard options but now I can’t access the site at all.

I can’t even log into the WP dashboard through the back end…help?

That’s a bit more complicated than just changing the setting, because WordPress is *installed* in your /wordpress directory.

First, follow this guide to manually change the siteurl and home values back to what they were directly in the database: https://codex.wordpress.org/Changing_The_Site_URL#Changing_the_URL_directly_in_the_database

You’ll find phpMyAdmin in your hosting account’s control panel.
