# Changed domain pointers, WP pages lost

 * I was testing a wordpress site in a sub folder on my main domain. Once I finished
   setting everything up, I changed my ‘WordPress Address (URL)’ ( my Dashboard 
   > General> WordPress Address) to my main domain and pointed my root directory
   to the sub folder in my cpanel.
 * The redirect worked, but since my pages and images were published in a sub folder,
   the URL is now lost. Any suggestions or ideas on how to fix this will be much
   appreciated.

 * I just changed the domain pointers today. I’m not sure if I need to wait a day
   or two for these changes to take place. Please let me know. Thank you.

   for details of how to do this. Then point your domain name back to the root folder.

 * I just changed the ‘WordPress Adress (URL)’ back to my [http://www.domain.com/subfolder](http://www.domain.com/subfolder)
   and now I get an internal error on the homepage. :/

 * i just changed it back to [http://www.northwooddp.com](http://www.northwooddp.com)
   in phpmyadmin so i can see the page again and login into my dashboard. I tried
   following the steps in the links you provided but I think it’s steps to something
   I’ve already done.

 * Ok i needed to change the Site URL too. Thanks for your help.
