  • It is in the event-single.php (line 53.), you can change it there. It is better to make a child theme, copy the file into child theme directory and make modicitanions in that file.

    Thanks kevegard.

The wording on this button has just flipped back to the default. Due to a plug-in upgrade? How can I change the wording and make it stick even when the plug-in is upgraded?

    Create a theme child theme:

and copy the file into child themes folder. An upgrade will not overwrite it. But in this case you don’t have the newest version of this file, so sometimes it is good to upgrade it and make the changes manually.

Read Template files paragraph from article below

Thanks for sharing the solution kevegard 🙂

so I’ve changed line 53 of event-single.php to ‘Register’ instead of original buy tickets, but it will not change on the website. I’ve refreshed cache, updated events, no caching, or plugins are used.

I know to use child, but won’t be updating to child before next update.

    [deleted – found it!]

We have a similar problem to richard with the All-In-One Event Calendar plugin for WordPress. We’re trying to change the Buy Tickets to Register for events, and we found your post really helpful because you had the same issue.

However, we are having a hard time finding where in WordPress you were able to find the event-single.php file. We are WordPress noobs 🙂

How did you navigate to finding the event-single.php file? Is it in the Plugins Editor for All-in-One Event Calendar? If so, which php file is it in, because we have searched and searched here and there is no event-single.php file listed in the Plugins Editor in the WordPress back end.

    Edit in wp-content > themes-ai1ec > vortex (or your theme/style)

I’m using the plana theme and there is no such file in that location. Suggestions?

In my case, it doesn’t matter which theme, event-single.php and event-multi.php(line 14) are both located in the vortex theme file.
