Change Width of Text Fields?!

I haven’t seen this issue resolved yet. Can someone tell me how to do so?

When I insert a custom text field, the width is super long.

I don’t know how to insert a table. Simply replying, “insert a table and change width”, does not help me. I’m a rookie.
