# Change web hosting?

 * Hello everyone, I am creating my site with WordPress, until now the Astra theme
   + some plugins but I find my site quite slow, on google’s PageSpeed Insight I
   often have
 * > Reduce initial server response time
 * which takes around 5sec and I feel real latency compared to other competing sites,
   I was thinking maybe changing host (I’m currently at HostGator with the CloudFlare
   CDN) but can I be directed to a European or French host (the market is french)?
   
   Do you think the host may be responsible for this kind of latency or if anyone
   has any other idea where the latency might be coming from?

 * Yes, `Reduce initial server response time` is mainly related to the server/hosting.
   If [optimizing](https://wpastra.com/wordpress-performance-tips/) your site doesn’t
   make any significant impact, perhaps you might consider to find a hosting that
   fit your needs.
