Hi @silviasciuto,
I no longer provide free customization services, especially for commercial third-party plugins. However, there is a good chance that you will be able to get it working without using any additional code because Permalink Manager Lite supports the most common MyListing permastructure tags.
Could you try to use the below permastructure format?
%listing_type%/%listing_region%/%job_listing_category_flat%/%job_listing%
You can find instructions on how to use it in this article:
https://permalinkmanager.pro/docs/basics/bulk-edit-custom-permalinks/
Thank you very much for your assistance.
I have seen your plugin options. There are so many options I am worried to edit other settings I am not interested for.
How can I be sure to edit listing url structure, only? and maintain it forever?
Also, is it possible to select main category on the url?
How the plugin know which one to show between parent and child? (for category only)
Thank you very much!
The best idea then would be to exclude all other content types in Permalink Manager settings:
https://permalinkmanager.pro/docs/exclude-content-types/
Once you apply the new format using “Regenerate/reset”, the listing permalinks should be set forever unless you turn on “Auto-update” mode:
https://permalinkmanager.pro/docs/basics/automatically-update-the-permalinks/#2-dont-auto-update-permalinks-default-mode
Unfortunately, it is not possible to select “primary/main” category for single listing using “Edit Listing” admin page. However, you can make the plugin use either:
- the full hierarchical slug:
%job_listing_category%
- only the top-parent:
%job_listing_category_top%
- only the lowest-child category:
%job_listing_category_flat%

Thank you for your advices.
So if I set the new permalinks for listings only, all the old listings and the new listings added in the future, they will have the new permalink structure?
Or the auto-update regards the new future listings as well?
By default, the new permalink structure will be applied to new listings only. If you want to use it for existing ones, you will need to use “Regenerate/reset” tool.
