Change URL from /category/childcategory/postname to /childcategory/postname?

    I am working on a site that has a lot of categories and child categories. I want the URLs to look nice, but I don’t want them to look like /category1/childcategory1/childcategory2/postname

    What I would prefer is to use only the highest child category + the post name. Using the example above, the URL would become /childcategory2/postname

    Is there a way to make this happen? A code fix or plugin?

    Any help would be greatly appreciated!
