Sorry, it works only sometimes with additional js code, not german version.
Hi @rafix777,
It seems some text are missing in the German translation file, but you don’t need to make a copy from another language to have a more recent translation file in your own language. You can find the list of available languages and their files here: https://translate.wordpress.org/projects/wp-plugins/the-events-calendar/stable/
Please follow the steps below to translate those strings:
- To start translating, click on German language under Loco > Plugins > The Events Calendar.
- It’s important to click on Sync button before you start to translate. This will update the translation file to the most recent version.
- Then search for the string “label for list view” and “label for month view” and translate them, see: https://share.zight.com/Qwuyqwdp
- When the translation is done, click on the Save button.
- Clear the cache, and you should see the translation on your site.
See this article for more information: Loco Translate
Hi Atousa,
I did it yesterday and it didn’t worked. Slug is translated properly but these two words in span – not. What should I do?
Edit: I need it in polish.

hi @rafix777 .
I also struggled with translations. The method I described below worked perfectly for me – for the TEC filter bar (but not for TEC Calendar Pro). If you’re not using the pro version and aren’t fixed to using Loco, maybe try this for “The Events Calendar” (free) — if you watch the video I give in my 3rd message you’ll see how it works too. Just ensure you do this in a staging environment because it could go either way!

Hope you give it a try, more so, I hope it works for you.

Michelle. Reason: Grammar
Hi Michelle!
Thanks for the answer.
I tested your and Atousa method but with your or sync method I have another problem. When I clicked on month view and it’s translated properly on list view, on month view is in english. After first reload month view page is… in polish. Only is in english when I click first time for it. Why? This question is more fore Atousa but if you tested and know why – it would be great! Thanks in advance 🙂
Edit: if I click on a month view even on a month view – is in english but if i reload (ctrl+f5) is in polish. Something there isn’t working properly.
hi @rafix777 I often find when I change an unrelated TEC setting via the dashboard my translations break and sometimes I get errors on the page too.
The only thing that helps me, is to change the site la gauge back to English – refresh the /events/ page (I just do it out of habit) and then back to German – magically fixes things. Sometimes.
Michelle,
thanks for advice.
For now it’s working (idk why) but I have another problem – when I translate list to “lista”, in my url after click I’ve events/(/?:list)/ < how to change that? Because if I reload the page with it, I have 404 page. With month, it’s ok, because it’s events/month/
Now it’s working ok, I don’t get it but nevermind. If it breaks, I’ll go back. Thanks for help!

hi @rafix777 yes I’m afraid that is the level of quality I experienced too. The same thing happened to me with the url — watch my video of on my other post — exactly the same. But only for TEC Pro.
